Easy Installation
The most important purchase you could make for your child is secure and safe car seat. To ensure that your child travels in safety the infant car seats come with bases that allow for easy installation. Choose between an ISOFIX base that comes with built-in rebound prevention or a FamilyFix 360 Pro that rotates to allow easier access to your child. Both bases work with our premium strollers to make a complete travel system.
Our ISOFIX bases and car seats have a red-to-green tightness indicator that ensures the connection is secure to your vehicle. When the indicator's color changes to green, the ISOFIX connectors are locked in the metal clips on the back of your vehicle and you will hear clicking. We also include a support leg, top tether, and an anchor that stops the car seat from moving forward in the event of a crash. This will help keep your child in an upright position for a longer time.
It is safer to let your baby travel in a rear-facing car seat until around 15 months old. Our CabrioFix i-Size ISOFIX base is designed to be fast and easy to install using the lower anchors of your vehicle. Simply push the indicators to either side of the base, and then locate the lower anchors on your vehicle and press them into place until you hear clicking.
When the lower anchors are securely in place, thread the seat belt of the vehicle through the belt guides and buckles on the sides of the car seat. Then, pull the wider part of the belt around the back of the seat and into the holder on the base. Make sure the belt is tight and secured to ensure your child's safety.
Our FamilyFix 360 Pro base is equipped with the innovative SlideTech Technology, which allows you to rotate the car seat in your direction by pressing a key on the front of base. This makes it easier to remove and install your child from the seat while keeping an eye on them.
Extra Stay-In-Car
The maxi cosi car seat base is a fantastic option for parents who value safety, wish to keep their infant in an infant carrier for longer, or require a car seat that can be used with their current vehicle. It's not the most compact however, it offers a near-flat recline, excellent side impact protection and great crash test results. It is also comfortable and compatible with a variety of strollers. The price is a bit high, but for some families, the extra features are worth it.
Dorel Magnus is a 5-in-1 convertible seat that connects to the maxi cosi base. Its most notable feature is the headrest, which can be adjusted to 14 different heights for an ideal fit. This is a feature that majority of other seats don't have. It also has a non-rethread harness, which means you don't have to get the seat out of the car to alter the belt path when your child grows taller.
The seat's fabric is extremely soft and comfortable, making it a very tempting nap spot for children on long road journeys. It's soft and comfortable and the shell is a wrap around the padding, without being stiff or flimsy like other seats. ClimaFlow technology keeps the fabric cool during hot weather. The only drawback to this seat is that it has a tiny cupholder, which isn't ideal for big sippy cups or snack bags. Also, the crotch buckle is a bit short and can pinch kiddos' thighs.
The FamilyFix 360 Pro is a car seat base that rotates and uses Maxi-Cosi's patented SlideTech technology to slide the infant carrier toward you, making getting your child in and out of the car easier. It's compatible with the Pebble 360 and Pearl 360 infant car seat, which are excellent options for toddlers and babies. The base provides a variety of options for installation, including lower anchors/LUAS and a built-in Isofix connector. The lower anchors can be quickly used. Just press the red buttons to detach the connectors then thread them along the base's belt track and attach them to the lower anchor points of your vehicle.
Connectors for LATCH that are integrated
This base is equipped with LATCH connectors, making it easy to attach your infant car seat with vehicle belts. The base's self-retracting LATCH system, with red-to-green tightness indicator and built-in rebound protectors help to restrict backwards and forward motion to improve safety. Built-In Rebound Protection
The built-in feature of rebound protection is fantastic to limit side-to-side movement and reducing force during crashes. It's great that this car seat has it, as many do not. The system detects when the seat isn't installed correctly and applies a small amount of pressure to the headrest of the chair to limit the movement. This can prevent children from being thrown backwards during an accident. It could make a huge difference to how safe their seat is.
The seat is designed to fit a child from birth until 13kg, which is around 18 months (in the group cars 0+). It's quite long! It's got a lot of safety features including Dorel’s Air Protect, which limits impact forces to the child’s head. This feature is very important to ensure the safety and security of babies and toddlers.
Another feature that we really love is the belt path indicator that make it easy to see when you have the belt routed correctly. The only thing that is noticeable as a problem is the crotch buckle's shortness, which can pinch children on their thighs and cause discomfort. However, this is easily repaired by putting on an crotch buckle cover which is readily available online. This is a minor issue that we can ignore because the seat is loaded with incredible features!
